Biography of Aditya Roy Kapur
Aditya Roy Kapur is an Indian actor and former VJ in Bollywood. He was born in Mumbai to a Punjabi father and a Jewish mother. His mother, Salome Roy Kapur, was a model and actress. While attending school, Kapur's mother managed an acting club where he first tried his hand at acting. Both of Kapur's brothers, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Kunaal Roy Kapur, also became actors.
Kapur received his education at St. Xavier's College in Mumbai, where he currently resides. Interestingly, acting was not something Kapur had initially aspired to be. He was content with his career as a VJ, working for the music channel Channel V. Kapur gained popularity for his comedic talents and his ability to host live shows.
It was not until , when Kapur was cast in Vipul Shah's musical 'London Dreams,' that he was inspired to pursue his long-forgotten acting career. In , he starred in Shah's comedy 'Action Replayy' alongside Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai, playing the role of their son who travels back in time to ensure they fall in love. The same year, Kapur had the opportunity to work with Aishwarya Rai again in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Guzaarish.'
